Im applying online for job openings in state I live in which is NOT even close to where 650 is located California. This number 650-830-7049 txt me today. Its frustrating becuase Ive been without work for 4 weeks. And I dont need the hassle of dealing with hackers who want tell me "they like to speak with me about job they saw on these job opening board please call or text".  all these people want is steal our identity and get free money! instead of working like the rest of us. I wish there wasnt online apps for jobs sites! and I use the jobs own website not some bogus website like indeed or jobster. these site I feel gives my info to the hackers! so BEWARE of 650-830-7049.. it does come across as a different number but with area code 650!

I got the same message today on my phone....so did u call them and found that out or did u bother not to call?

Thanks for the info. Got a message this morning and the first thing I did was check out the number to see if it was legit. Figured if they were really interested in me, they would call and not text! And, the 650 area code was also  a clue!

Do we know for sure if it is a hacker? I responded "what job?" now I am nervous about getting hacked?
