Applied for a job on craiglist and got the same response as the last 15 (from Casmin - mine was from Parton Corp).  Gets you excited doesn't it.  I was not as smart of some of you.  I opened up the test to see what it was - didn't take it though.  I wonder what this is going to do to my computer.

I've learned a lesson here.

Yeah... this crap sucks when your looking for a job... thankfully my cell phone is set up to not accept any of these premium services...

I got the same email from the supposed same company from two different people....

I haven't sent my resume to any Craigslist job postings in several months due to the spam. Today out of the blue I get a "reply" which I immediately suspected was a fake offer.  Check out the phone number first and what do you know? I landed here!  They said it was for Casmin Corp. and listed 650-762-5607 as the contact number, MikaylaBurns@CasminCorp.com as the contact email and (866)-442-3582 as the fax number.  My email from them also included a link and requested that I click on the link to take the IQ test and then submit the results to HR right away.  No way I was clicking on anything when I don't know the source. Word of advice for everyone new to online job seeking - no legitimate company is going to ask you to click a link, pre-fill info on their web site or take an IQ, personality or job compatibility test through a link in an email.  If you submit a resume via email, good "real" companies will generally have a generic "thank you we have received your resume and are reviewing your qualifications" reply and then if they are serious about wanting to get more info from you - they will call.

What is the contact info for the FBI unit you contacted? I'm getting e-mails and would like to put a stop to this. It's so unfair they are praying on desperate people and I would really like to see them pay for it.

I have been at the same job since March and have not been applying to jobs.  So I was surprised when I received an email yesterday from "Casmin Corp" that was definitely the same scam you all are talking about. This is the email:
Hello [my name], it's fantastic to speak with you.

Thank you for e-mailing us.

You are very qualified for the current position, more so than the other 20 applicants we have received applications from.
Our selection process is almost finished. Casmin only asks for you to complete a quick, basic IQ(Intelligence Quotient) quiz to complete and give to the Head of HR.

Please complete your IQ Quiz here: http://CasminCorp.com/IQ-Quiz

Reply with the results and a schedule of availability to set-up an interview.

Honestly, I am wanting to get this position filled with a new friendly face and am looking to your quick response.

Have a fantastic Tuesday,

Though a website did come up when I typed in the URL given, I got no results when I Googled "Casmin Corp" so obviously the website is a fake, designed to make you think it's a legit company.  The address given for "Casmin Corp" in Baltimore does not exist either.  Be warned!

Yeah, I had applied to jobs a couple months ago and just received an email back from CasminCorp. I decided to click on the IQ test link. I answered the questions but when it asked me for my cell phone number I knew something was up so I didn't give it. I then noticed I had received two emails stating slightly different things. That was when I decided I would google them to see if they were a scam of not.
