Received a text from this number this morning, asking me to contact them about a position I applied for on their job board. I don't do business this way, they had a thing, to text stop to stop recieiving texts from this number, we'll see what happens............

I received a text about a job too but they don't give the name of the company, I've had several from different numbers, I don't reply, getting very annoying.

Received a text this morning saying "We'd like to speak with you about the position you applied for on our job board. Call 650-200-1094. Text STOP to cancel".
I am seeking work but if the employer can't pick up the phone and give me a call directly, then I don't need that job.

. . .because there is no job. It's a scam. Most of the time it's (a) Mystery shopper, or (b) Personal assistant. Both involve you getting a check & forwarding money. Take a guess about the check. Job interviews are done in PERSON. Not by text, email, fax, or web chat. Face to face. If someone saw my resume & wanted to talk to me about a job - What's your name? What is the business' name? What is your address & phone number? I would then do a search on everything. Due Diligence stops job offer scams.

Read all the posting re this phone number but decided to call it anyway. Alan answered and said he was a career advisor and was calling me regarding the resume I posted online. I did not post anything online. I sent several resumes directly to specific employers. Alan said he did not represent any specific company and was simply trying to verify the info contained in my resume which he would then pass along to the employers and they would contact me if interested. I started to say that I wasn't comfortable verifying anything with him, but he hung up in mid-sentence. Thanks, Alan!
