Caller ID said CALIFORNIA. Left no message. White Pages does not have a match for this number. Other websites say this number is unsafe. Evidence points to a spammer/scammer....number now blocked on my phone.

CID is "Burlingame  CA".  Don't recognize number and location is unfamiliar, although I know this is somewhere in northern Calif.  No msg left.
BLOCKED

Caller didn’t leave a message on my machine and the caller id said “CALIFORNIA” which probably means scammer/telemarketer since every legitimate business I know leaves a message. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 types of traces and all were completely blocked. No person or business name, no general location(City, County, State, Country etc.) and no service providers showed up, however the area code is for San Mateo County, California. A legitimate business would never hide their identity and location by blocking a trace. This is the worse kind of scammer that is probably operating from a foreign country that is either spoofing dead phone numbers and/or using a Voip system while phishing for personal information and running a scam(s). This is an extremely high tech scammer so beware.  DO NOT ANSWER AND DO NOT CALL BACK FOR ANY REASON. Block and report to the proper authorities.

Robo-call pretending to be human. "Sir, this is Ray Crusas. How are you today?" I hung up & didn't wait to see what kind of scammy pitch followed.

Caller ID: CALIFORNIA  Machine answered and male, thinking he had a live sucker on the line, said hello.  Poor chap hung up after no response.  Looks like a new telemarketer number.
