This was a number associated with a Magazine Subscription Renewal Scam. The person on the other end says they will handle all your magazine subscriptions and renewals without you having to pay anything for the magazines. They just ask for a processing fee per month to deal wit it. It's ridiculous really. $4.99 per week. Seriously...for that rate I can get all my magazines from the grocery store and still buy a pack of gum and some Twizzlers. Don't fall for it.  The girl on the other end even asked how the weather was in California.  Odd seeing that the area code calling was in the San Francisco Bay area and I reside in California.

I got a call from this number as well. They ask a bunch of personal information and offer to renew magazine subscriptions that I haven't had for over two years. Don't tell them anything, don't even pick up the phone.
