Probably calling for donations

Um, this worries me.  My father just came home yesterday after heart surgery.  Could they be calling about anything to do with tests or something?  Or do they just call looking for donations?

uh, we're in Nova Scotia.  He certainly didn't have his surgery at Stanford.  He also has medical insurance, and has been working for the past 37 years.
