The guy had a very thick accent and asked for me by name and then mumbled something about "a loan" and when I asked him to repeat himself he hung up. If any of these scammers are reading this, you might stand a better chance of success if you invest in some accent reduction training for your mooks.

I got a call from 647-483-7040 .  Synthetic male voice.  Threatening me about some tax situation that will befall me if I don't call back.

I received the very same call from 647-483-7040. I was instructed to drop whatever I was doing and call immediately, to this number, to deal with a tax problem.

Call from Canada "Tax Crime Division". When I questioned why ne needed personal information a few times the guy (Branden Wa) flew into a rage and started swearing badly.
