They called, but the Jolly Roger telephone company intercepted and kept them on the line, during which they said nothing for 15 seconds.

Received call at 11:33am today from NECTUC 646-867-0613. I never answer unrecognized calls. No message - - a dead-give-away of a scam call (quickly confirmed when I checked the number on this website). Specifically, the "Police Charity Donation Scam."  NYPD has a helpful website regarding these scams: http://www.nycpolicefoundation.org/about-us/telemarketing-awareness/.

Why is there no "scam" option in "Call type?"

Unknown caller, no message, caller id NECTUC.  Legitimate NY charities should be able to provide a NYS registration number or an IRS employer identification number.

YES! this guy calls all day every day because a year and two ago I made a donation. but he called back several times the same year so something seemed up. always super friendly using my name. but, said ny police athletic league which actually is a legit charity. so might just be he's too aggressive. I asked to take us off list and he said okay but continued to call as if that never happened. anyway I save his number and named it "telemarketer" so we'd know not to pick up but it's unreal that he calls every day trying to reach us. sometimes I pick up and hang right up. but he still calls. so finally I decided to type the number into google to see if others had same experience.  yikes.
