I am also getting calls from this number along with two other numbers 469-206-9301 and 253-661-6788

An indian man called me with this number talking about some kind of domain or something. I think he could have got my info from linked in.

Indian guy saying something about domain and asking me to confirm, he was SO difficult to understand.

Admitted he was calling from India even though New York number being shown on caller ID. I advised him that misuse of the WHOIS system for marketing purposes is against the rules and our company would never hire anyone to do web design who could not follow such a simple rule. He thinks he won't ever call me again but I know this is beyond his control.

Shady web design firm from West Bengal India. Contacted me about site build for a domain name recently registered. This action by them clearly indicates they are mining the WhoIs for marketing purposes. Scam Likely!
