Getting many phone calls per day saying I am entitled to free government money. Don't know if this is the same caller because I missed the call.

the phone #'s can be used from anywhere and they live else where...i talked with police and they tell me you can live in china and have a phone number in chicago just by ordering service through there exchange so finding where they are is very hard

It is called Caller ID spoofing and they don't need to order service, all they need is a simple computer program.
I couldn't have said it better myself. Some of these folks are REALLY trying to appear legit.....but the culture nuances give them away every time. /:

DNC list is meant for law-abiding telemarketers. It cannot stop criminal. People calling from this number are hard core Indian or Pakistani scammer/extortionists. Ignore and block their calls. Be wary of 646 area code calls. Often used by scammers. Do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
