The number 646-535-8714 is being used by an internet scammer from Africa. He responded to my personal contact ad on Craigslist pretending to be a U.S. Military member, using a photo of a U.S. soldier with sunglasses on, and saying that he is in West Africa. Here is what he wrote:

"Hi i am Oliver  Mike wallace semprini from new york in the Military. I am right now in  west africa   for peace keeping and going for deployement soon. i will be 44yrs old by september 25  i am looking for that special lady to call my OWN and that special lady to spend the rest of my life with been happy.... distance is nothing but heart matter  okay..i will love your decent reply and hope to read from you soon. this is my number kindly text me.. 646) 535-8714"

My daughter is presently in a internet relation with this guy, and he seems to have lied his way into her life. When I told her about this scam- she is insistant that he is for real.  What to do?

Nothing.  Nada.  She's riding for a fall, but I hope it won't be too serious and that she'll get over it soon.

I googled this number because he contacted me via an ad I posted on CL and I'm glad I did. The first comment on here that I read looks exactly like what he just emailed me!

BEWARE AND BE CAREFUL!

This guy is currently texting me right now! I got a bad feeling about him so I googled his name and number and found this scammer alert¡!! He sent me the same picture in a military uniform and sunglasses and says he is iñ Iraq... He is a liar don't believe anything he says
