Call received this morning at 9:20 a.m. I picked up the receiver but did not say anything. A recorded message stated they were calling about a back brace that was seen on TV. I hung up.

They call and to say that I had ordered their back brace which is not true. I reported to the US Consumer Protection Bureau and they disregard because the company claims we requested this information - which is not true.

The FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection, if that's what you meant, should be well aware of the medical insurance fraud underlying these "brace" calls. Perhaps there was misunderstanding regarding how and where you reported.

There is more going on than the deceptive practice of claiming that you started the business relationship. These sales calls ignore Do Not Call registries, break several parts of the Telemarketing Sales Rule, violate the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and dismiss who knows how many of your state laws. So you have plenty of places to complain -- beginning with the FCC, FTC, and attorneys general -- and multiple angles for those complaints.

9/09/16  12:35 PDT  Didn't recognize number and ID showed as unassigned, so didn't answer, as usual.  No message left and based on the previous reports, will now block this one along with the 100 other numbers I have blocked so far..

CID= "UNNASSIGNED" and calling number. Was not home when called and they did not leave a message. It is now 184 blocked number in blocker. Not many blocked calls from that area code here. Only 6467571552 and 6468548214. Take care everybody.
