Just received a call from this number saying the government randomly selects a person that has filed taxes and has no criminal history to give them a free 9 thousand dollar grant (I know better) but just to give them the benefit of the doubt I heard them out. They gave me a code and another number to call, so I did. Mind you, the three people I spoke to could barely speak english and in the background very loudly I could hear other foreign people giving out options for western union or moneygram. I was told that I would receive the 9 thousand after I registered myself to the treasury, and to do so I must purchase an iTunes gift card and put $299.00 (LOL) and after I give them back the card info I will immediately receive the $9k along with a reimbursement for the $299. I promptly reminded them that neither moneygram OR western union legally can make a cash transaction for anything over $1,500 yet they insisted that they would be giving me a full 9 thousand in cash and all I needed to do is have the supervisor call this number. Worst scam I've ever heard of in my entire life. Beyond the fact that I am already registered to the Treasury, try telling me the Treasury accepts payments via iTunes gift card?? That was entertaining.
