I think it is a legitimate company, but they will lie to you.  They called a week after I set up home phone with Time Warner with a listed # and since I hadn’t changed the batteries in an old phone the caller ID didn’t work so I thought it was the Dayton Daily News.  I started a subscription with them, gave them my credit card #, got a little nervous when I set up the caller ID on TV & realized it wasn’t actually the DDN who’d called.  My paper delivery started and my credit card was billed in the first week--irked because I was told there was a 2 week free trial.  Since they only correctly placed the paper one in 3 deliveries I called the DDN and cancelled this morning and that’s when the lie came out.  There is no free trial and I’m not getting back the $10 charged but under $7.  Hang up if they call.

Know how you feel!! Just got my 1st call from this # @ 7:41pm Wed. 8/15/12. I was outside so don't know how many rings there were, but ans mach is set on 5 & it didn't kick on, thank goodness. My CID said only "Renew" also along with the ph#. These calls just multiply like flies!! I DON'T answer ph unless I know the # calling & sure NOT getting a renewal to DAYTON Daily News (Ohio) as reason we cancelled subscription was DIS satisfaction with it anyway.

We're swamped with all sorts of UNWANTED calls (even MORE so) since DNC lists added cell phs last Nov before they also went public. Pay for Non-listed landline & everybody & their brother seems to have it anyway. This is a NO Win situation for us!

As with other people who have reported this number, the caller never leaves a message!

Been getting Renew phone calls for the last month, at least twice a day, no message on the answering machine.  Very annoying!
