I do work for a collection agency and have heard about ARC in the circles...rude, unethical, corrupt...everything we don't do. If one of my agents did the s**t they did, I'd yank them off the phones. I've had(and still do) calls from ARC and I can play that game too. They deal in low dollar amounts compared to what we call for. Our average is around 2k a call. And we can't get away w/ anything ARC pulls.

Wanna piss the collector off? F**k up his handle time, break commitments, ask off the wall questions...crap like that screws w/ them. I bet they are required to make "x" amount of calls per day. Keep them on the phone for a long time. They probably graded on how many payments that will be paid when we say that we will pay them. Ask them goofy questions, that'll throw them off their game. Tell them you love them and wanna marry them, they sound sexy/cute, you'd like to be their sugar daddy/momma...they have a script they have to follow and if you get angry w/ them, they expect that. But if your sweet and calm, that's gonna mess them up. Trust me...a bill collector calling a bill collector? Yeah I'll win that one. I'm a manager/trainer w/ my company. If I wasn't good on the phone, I wouldn't have been promoted. Wanna know what your rights are...look up fdcpa(federal debt collector practices act). Ask them what their policy on calls are.

Got the phone call again this time with an English accent.. couldnt understand what she said except to return the call  to an 866 number.. If you cant understand them why should we call them back.. and yes I agree know one knows what kind of stiuations that people are going thru.  Keeping a roof over our heads is more important at the moment then paying medical bills that the place said would be taken care of... then they go by what you made last year not what you have at the moment NO job, and are on welfare for a short time.... okay enough is said.. I am one that is trying to get back in the swing.. one day there wont be any creditors calling...:)

How dare you!!!  It must be nice to be perfect and have never run into money issues.  I try to answer this number every time it calls, but all I get is a recorded message, nothing more.  I assume it's a creditor, but there is no way for me to know if they never talk to me.  I hope karma hits you for your nasty post to the rest of us just trying to put food on our tables after, in my case, not having a job for the first time in 40 years.  My job was outsourced.  I was laid off due to no fault of my own.  SHAME ON YOU!!!
