CID showed "MERCHANT". I figured it was a scammer and let it go to the answering machine and no message was left. Pretty much confirms my suspicions

This number called  this past Friday after I left for the holiday weekend. This particular caller seems to have a penchant for calling when people are out of the office.

According to my call logs, we've received calls from these additional numbers, all having the same caller ID of "MERCHANT":

I'm not sure if this is Better Merchant Services or a different credit card processing company.
