We got the call and didn't answer the unknown number,  caller ID showed Unknown Name. I called the number back and got a recording that said the number was temporarily out of service.  Tried calling on the cell phone and got arecording that said I had reached 1-800-973-7470.  You know it's totally legit when you dial 636-486-7365 and get 1-800-973-7470.  The 800 number did not identify the company but said they were a survey and "are exempt from no call".

These fools don't give up. This is the second call we have gotten in less than a week.  What good is the no call list if everybody is exempt?  And who is going to answer Unknown Caller  or Unknown Name ?

Charity's, Political and some survey's are exempt..  Survey's that try to sell you something are not. It also doesn't apply to debt collectors. The DNC can't protect you from the scammers, frauds and illegal telemarketers. Criminals don't obey the laws period. It does help to actually read up on it and the TCPA laws.. The DNC complaint list is a database that all the agency's use. There is some recourse to the charity's who refuse to stop calling when asked and become a nuisance though..
