This is the other side of the "Tech" scam.  First they call you up and convince you to let them into your computer, then when they think they can't get any more money from you that way, they offer you a "refund".  The catch is that you have to give them your banking info, or go out and get a refillable card and put money on it to get the nonexistent "refund".  Not only should you run away from this, you should take your computer in to a reputable brick and mortar repair shop to get it checked out.

I have been receiving calls from people who say they are representing Live Technician and I would like to verify this to be true.  I am not convinced that they are the people that I usually deal with.  They say they want to refund money that I recently paid to them because the security is no longer available.

This is a scam -- beware. Popup on computer, prompted to call this number, charged me $199.99 to erase malware, took control of my computer, and then wanted to refund my money. Stay aware.
