this so BS period they need to stop calling me

Had the same guy call me looking for my sister and said he was Michael Evan and left numbers for my sister to call Michael Stafford. He said he was a private investigator and insinuated that my sisters wages were going to be garnished. It is Trans Continental Affiliates (TCA), a California debt-collection agency who currently has charges against them by the Federal Trade Commission for using  deceptive practices when attempting to collect debts which is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act..

They called my dad today saying that someone filed a complaint against me. Said he was an agent but not with who or what department.  He said he has been attempting to contact me. Which is weird cause I've lived in the same place for years, had the  same number for years and same job.  So total bs.

They have been calling me like crazy. Saying that i owe a credit card from 9 yrs ago and that ill be served and sent to court if i dont pay. I asked for proof of debt in writing and they quickly sent me an email with a word format that i could do myself. Also, when we spoke, the guy was telling me how i was gonna be sent to court but that he was gonna call the creditor to see if we could agree on a payment..he put me on hold for less then 30 seconds and then he told me that they accepted a settlement. There is no way on earth that they called and talked about my case in that little of a time. The scary part is that they had my last 4 of social. They also called work and left message with hr department. Its so annoying and did scare me. I still think its a scam and that they are trying to get me to pay. i havent received anything through mail. I will wait and see if i get anything legit through mail.

they also called me from the 626 area code. email was from b.thomas@turnercollinsassociates.com
and they said they where from Tand C something company and the voicemail said they where calling from superior legal firm..same area code.

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.
For extortion Scam Operations, file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..
