Received a polite message that my websites SSL certificate was about to expire (It was). Caller not from my web hosting company. Although probably legit, I assume they find expiring SSL certs with a bot of theirs or a service that provides leads. Their annual rate was $50.-which vary in cost from $18 to $300+ depending on security level & features. As the SSL cert is included in my annual hosting fee, I declined. Again polite & professional at all times.

I got a call from this number after renewing some domain names on godaddy.com so I am assuming it is them

Spoke with Eddie who informed me my SSL was expiring. He was right and it prompted me to call my hosting company. I was pissed because my own hosting company did not reach out to me but it took Eddie from this other  company to make me aware. It appears Comodo wants to set direct contracts. Got to love free enterprise.

Eddie called, same story as above but I had renewed my SSl with Godaddy a month ago
