I was just called today from these same people.  I got a call first on my cell from a "Private Number", when answered, this lady told me that a collection agency had been trying to reach me and this was the final attempt. She gave me the number to PNC Capital Group with an account number.  When I called the lady was talking very fast and said I had taken out a loan back in 2008 first, then she said it was taken out back in 1997 and payments had been made until January of 2010. Every time I tried to ask her a question she would cut me off and after trying again with a raised voice she said she would not be yelled at and hung up on me.  I called back numerous times and kept getting very little bits of information from her.  She said she was going to have papers served on me at my job as well.  I NEVER took out a loan in 1997 or in 2008, as a matter of fact I couldn't have taken out a loan for a piece of gum in either year because of student loans. (Which are current by the way, and nothing is showing in the negative on my credit report).  I think this is all a scam because she said to me that unless I was willing to set payment arrangements up, there was nothing else she would discuss with me.

Awe as typical, coming to their own conclusions because you're smarter than everyone else, but seem to have vision problems.

Let's review Jennie's comment

1. Jennie said: "I paid off that card and closed it back in 2000"
Now Mr Fred Meyer said: "you are the scam not paying your debt"
Did Mr Meyer notice where Jennie said she paid the account off?
Evedently not, because he said she owes money.

2. Jennie asked for debt verification, and the lady on the other side refused, but instead got hostile.

Mr. Meyer...Is it posible that the caller is in violation of the FTC in not providing proof?

3. Fred Meyer.. I love your selection  www.fredmeyer.com

Time for you to leave.
