Claims to be IRS.  Lawsuit against me.  No government agency will ever call you,  never yet threaten you over the phone.  They will contact you by mail.  So this is a clear scam!

i also received 2 calls from this number today. they claim to be the IRS re: a lawsuit being filed against me. blocking this number.

This about the fifth time this number called me threatening me with an IRS lawsuit. I don't know how they get through since I am on DNC list. They called twice in the same day too. The call is computer-generated with a female voice. This is very annoying!

I received a call today claiming to be the IRS and there was a lawsuit against me for calculation errors on my tax returns.  Officer Davis Smith #5208 who clearly didn't speak very good English so I found it hard to believe her name was Davis Smith --then she started siting Sections and legal jargon and when I asked for this information in writing she claimed they already sent letters via USPS and I never retrieved them so they couldn't send anymore notices.  She asked if I was going to settle out of court (OOCR) or hire a criminal attorney --- and I said not without documentation.  She proceeded to transfer me to a gentlemen (can't remember his name), he eventually hung up on me.  This is clearly a SCAM!!!  There's no way the IRS will demand payment for owed taxes over the phone without anything in writing!!!  BE AWARE
