Called them back and they assured me I would be taken off their call list especially considering I do not have nor have I ever had an American Express Card...

Nope..this is a fraudulent number, trying to get your bank account details.

Called them back - I don't have an Amex account or any Amex products, they would not give me any information, but required my social to verify. Lifelock looks pretty good about now!!

Caller ID says American Express but American Express advised me that it is not them. AmEx also didn't seem too concerned about stopping it. AmEx didn't bother providing me their fraud department contacts and it's not on their website. Very lazy company - Maybe AmEx and BoA are one in the same! Here is a list of my recent calls from 3 numbers claiming to be AmEx.
