Actually, getting debt collection attorney in cases like this is a GREAT IDEA! We had an old debt from Dell computers way past statute of limitations. Had been written off for more than 7 yrs. The junk debt collector had my husband served at work for the suit. We took the case to a debt attorney and he made the junk collector company PAY US $1000 for damages. He took the case for $250, so by the time the junk debt company was done, our attorney had made himself $1250+$1000 they paid us for wrongful debt collections--cost the jerks $2K to serve a worthless warrant plus all the court fees.

Debt collector, uses robo caller/auto dialer to illegally call cell phones.
Careful whatever you sign when incurring medical debt, READ everything.  NEVER sign any magnetic strip, make them PRINT IT OUT, READ IT, then cross out what you don't agree to.  Medical creditors are resorting to fine print that gives them your permission to use auto dialers to call cell phones.  Without your permission, IT IS ILLEGAL and you can file a civil action and be awarded a certain, lucrative amount PER CALL.
DO NOT ever take a medical creditors word that "Oh, it just says blah, blah, blah..."  READ EVERYTHING!

I received call on cell phone, which I only give out number to non-creditors. Didn't answer, no message left. I read the post and see it is a debt collector. I do get calls for other people and can't get them to stop calling, I owe no one.
