This number called our business today at 1255 hours. The caller ID said, "5LINX" so I immediately knew it was a scammer or spammer. I picked up the phone but said nothing. Unfortunately, that did not stop the illegal idiot message from beginning in a rather snooty English accent, droning on about, "Are you a business owner stuck in a high interest--" At that point, I slammed the phone back down again. For the heck of it, I blocked my information and called the number back. Some clueless anal sphincter tried to pretend he didn't know what I was talking about and then sort of admitted it was a marketing business he was associated with. When I asked him if he was familiar with the FCC's requirements about automated messages, the idiot actually tried to tell me that he didn't fall under FCC requirements! That puts the call firmly into the category of a SCAM ARTIST, because legitimate businesses don't try to blow smoke up your backside by insisting that the law doesn't apply to them.
