Has to be a scam. I posted an ad and ten minutes later I got a text from that number.

Same here! Very insistent about using Paypal.

Received a text asking a question already answered in the ad...total bs caller.

This number tried to buy a large ticket item from me on Craigs List. Wanted my pay pal email so they could 'gift' me with the full amount requested. Could not use the phone because they just moved to Ohio and the 'pole' was not good.

Their English was choppy, I suspect another nationality.

I requested they photograph their drivers license photo ID. They could text THAT to me and the next business day, when their 'gift' was in my pay pal account, I would verify their photo ID with the banking information on the transfer. I said I would have to wait TEN DAYS after the amount was placed in my account to make sure it was not a fake money transfer, wherein pay pal comes back to you a few days after the money is in your bank and says the transfer has gone south and you have to pay it all back, PLUS your goods that they bought are long gone. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM.
