This number has called three times.  The first two were hang ups after the machine answered.  The Last one someone actually spoke, but you could hardly understand him.   He said that he was from "Something (garbled) Medicare" and he needed to speak to Mr. XXXXX.   Then he stopped talking....left no return phone number or name as to who he was.  (and he butchered our last name...which is an easy last name.)    The Caller ID say "SSI"  somehow I think it is all a gimmick.

Upon further investigation, I have found out that "SSI" is an independent marketing/survey organization.   It appears they use the word "Medicare" in their voice messages to try to trick you into thinking it is important...shameful.
That would unfortunately make them exempt from Do Not Call List so they can continue to harass you.

Women called requesting my daughter. She did know my daughters first and last name. Told her she was unavailable and I could take a message and have her call back. She said my daughter was randomly selected for an important survey and didn't have a call back number. I asked what company she was calling from and she evaded to get off the phone immediately and hung up.

Same story as everyone else. Doesn't make much sense that a "survey" would hang up, unless they're just surveying who has an active phone number they can sell to telemarketers and other annoying vermin.
