Same old shower: woman with a heavy accent asked for a very generic name, Bill ______, told her nobody by that name works here. Asked her what company she was calling, she replied Bill ____. No, says I, What. Company. Are. You. Calling? She launches into a very scripted, "This call may be monitored for quality purposes..." Monitor this, says I, and hung up.

( Sorry for my poor English i am from México ) today i received a call from these number but when i picked up the phone they never  answer, so i called back and the company didn't sound familiar for me so i Google the number and see that it is not important.... One of many phone numbers used by World Financial & Commenity Bank who love to call excessively regardless of what fines and penalties they are capable to being charged with for breaking debt collection laws.

They indeed are a collection agency for credit cards issued by Comenity Bank. However, they wouldn't give out much info on who they were and why calling until you gave them address and phone (they wanted SSN but I said, oh no). They then told me it was a credit card account past due that I did have, had not received paper statements for several months (due to local PO problems) and they didn't resend the statements. She wanted me to pay immediately with her. I refused, said I would do it on line and hung up while she was still talking.

I am glad they called due to foul up with local PO and I didn't know about the overdue payment. However, I could barely understand her English and she spoke quickly and softly. Due to lack of her telling me why she was calling and my mistrust due to this, language issues and fear of being scammed; I would pay over the phone. They need to be sure their staff speaks English clearly and is understandable over the phone.
