Yes I believe they are scams. Didn't know first I keep seeing their home listings online when I told them was interested to move close to my husband's job. They told me to call Anchorage Finance customer service. Then when I emailed them the information about a house 24 hours later saying not available. On every house we asked. Then my husband checked them out and stated they scammed people since 2008. I called them found out why the house I send them Craigslist id number was not available after it was posted on same day and asked them if they was scamming people they hung up on me for I caught on to them. Then yesterday done it again on another house then there call did not say Anchorage Financial. Talked to customer support she took id number from Craigslist and said 24 hours will get respond just now nothing. Threatened them to refund my $200 or get FBI on them for fraud and selling peoples home that are not foreclosed by bank. They said it will be 90 days for refund just kept threatened them to report them. Their website is still online. I am filing a scam to our Ohio attorney general let him know what's going on. These people are from California.  DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE THEIR SCAMS !!!!!!

Called about a home on Craig's List and a got a guy named David. He said the rental homes are offered by mortgage holders who want someone to take over the note and payments. No money down just a one time $199 fee to insure the property has no liens. After which time an associate would email a link to me complete with addresses, pictures and monthly payments. I was to then schedule a viewing. He then asked what credit card I planned to use and I said I didn't have one..he said call back when I do and hung up.

SCAM.They're all over Craiglist Columbus--as people wrote above, they just want your credit card info to steal your money. We flagged all we could on Craigslist hoping that more innocent people dont get scammed! Something they have on almost all of their ads is: "Cats welcome-purr and dogs welcome-Wooof!"  I looked a little deeper into it and the number belongs to someone local. They live in Gahanna zip code 43230 near Cherrybottom Gardens, so they're right near Blendon Woods Metro Park... there IS a  picture of the phone number owner's property here: https://premium.whitepages.com/details/phone/?phone_number=6147065981

I say if anyone recognizes this location/property in the picture at the link I have provided above to PLEASE turn them into the Westerville Police! The only way we can stop these slimy criminals is by investigating as deeply as we can using the internet and passing on & sharing that information with each other. I am going to try to locate it the phone number owner's myself given the location information and will update here if I do find it.

I posted above, the picture shows the home to be located on Walcreek Dr E, 43230. I am going to report them to the proper authorities, hopefully this stops them from cheating innocent people
