They identified themselves as meade and associates

I am trying to get a hold of meade and associates. They gave me the number you listed to call them, but I can't get through when I do call them? Any info you might have would be helpful

They're a bill collecction agency. One with a pretty Hig success rate. At any rate, they represent Kroger and many oter corporations big and small.

These people are harrassing me at my work and on my cell phone. They have even went as far as telling whoever answers the phone at my work that they are a debt collector looking for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from them. I don't have any debts in collection or otherwise as I pay my single credit card in full every month. They may either be looking for another person or they're frauds. From the sound of it, the people calling you on your job and on your cell phone are not legit. They're not allowed to call or discuss you or any debit with friends, family or coworkers. If you get another call, demand that they send anything they have in WRITING to the address of record and that they stop calling you, period. Do not provide them with any  information. If they are duly empowered to collect a debt, they will have the original debtor's name, date the debt was incurred as well as the amount they claim you owe. They also have to provide you with any service fees they attached to the debt. Most of the scams of this sort are perpetrated by folks who claim you had a pay day loan.
If you DO owe money, pay the original debtor. I had a family member who had a group calling her. I called them and told them to send what they had in writing (which they refused to do). Another red flag, is if they will only accept a credit card or prepaid cards as payment, Never pay a debt collector with a prepaid card.
