Live caller, mine went much like the above. Claimed their records show I had an ADT alarm system (maybe, maybe not) so I let them think so. Claimed they were from Honeywell and ADT had "failed" to update my unit, and they were going to replace it. After some dialogue, it was clear they were intended on replacing my ADT unit and monitoring for their own. They were going to change me to Monitronics for the monitoring, and Alliance Security would be installing it.
Alliance Security has already been settled with the FTC due to their millions of DNC and Robocall violations. They have obviously not corrected all their violations:

They also have a permanent injunction against them, barring them from telemarketing to people on the Federal DNC (like me):

PLEASE submit a complaint with the FTC regarding this. The FTC has gone after them once, and will likely not be as pleasant the second time around.
