This is Verizon calling about overdue payments. I answered and paid via a credit card, then panicked (thinking it may have been a scam) and called the number on my Verizon bill when I got home. They had posted the payment to my bill already - so it WAS LEGITIMATE.

YES, I have verified it is Verizon Wireless. I have the Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi. I am late on payment. They verified my information over the phone without me giving out anything. I went online, saw it was late, then paid it.

Anyone that says any different is a paranoid schizophrenic incapable of verifying anything for fear of the boogeyman.

The matter of fact is, the Fair Debt Collection Act makes any attempt to collect a dept by a creditor under fraudulent pretense a crime punishable by fines and or imprisonment.  If a creditor is attempting to make telephone contact with a debtor, the number they are calling from MUST be associated with the business in all aspects.  The fact that the caller ID identifies the creditor as someone else such as Cherokee Fence or as in my case the American Red Cross is a CLEAR VIOLATION of the FDCA.  Regardless of what you may owe, there are rules that MUST be followed.

Verizon Wireless letting me know that service will be suspended if it is not paid.

It is not Verizon I just got off of phone with Verizon as there asured me it is not them and also offered to block the number from my phone which I did.
