P.S. They attempted to reach me on a debt that is well beyond the statute of limitations in my state.  This puts them in the worst class possible: "Zombie debt collector".  If you have read this far, you should google "zombie debt collector", which is an attempt to collect on a debt that is no longer legally enforceable.

Attempting to get  personal information without identifying themselves as who they are or what their business is. Insisting on verifying name, date or birth, etc.  When questioned on their name, company, and service. Claim to be Allied Interstate Debt Collection, but I have none so it is a scam.

This is the 2nd number they (Allied Interstate) called from!

My phone rang -- caller ID number was 614-335-9492. I said " Hello ". Person did not ask for any particular person but said " I am from Allied Debt Collection and I am collecting on a debt you owe " - I immediately said " OK, that's good send the information to my lawyer ". The person calling me - hung up.
