LOL This [***] called my home phone and told my parents that the "CRA" called and that they owed 35k in unpaid taxes. I searched up the number and it lead to this website. First of all, why would the "CRA" use a robot to be talking to you about your taxes? Also the fake [***] voice message robot sounded so unprofessional. Anyone can just download software off the internet for free and just hook it up to a phone to sound like that. This is just a random extortionist don't be scared guys! Just ignore the call and move on with your day.

This number is bogus!!   Do not reply to him.  He says he is with the CRA but had my name wrong.  I asked to phone him back because the line was fuzzy and asked for his extension and he said he had none.   Large government organizations always have an extension if you are trying to phone back a specific person.   He then made a rude comment and hung up on me.  Not CRA employee protocol.

Do not reply any message, it is just a sick extorsionist guy who will insult as soon as you find out he is not a CRA person. be careful not to give information. most likely they will commit fraud.

Had a similar experience. Called himself "Watson". Claimed that there's a lawsuit against me. Then I got another call from this same numbers saying that there would be a lawsuit against my SIN "forever"!

Said to call back asap - re: tax fraud.  We are conscientious people and pay our bills.  I searched the web and found this.  He said he was from a government office in Ottawa and could not pronounce Ottawa and was hard to understand.  My first search revealed the wrong area code so I looked further.
