Ignore this call. I just got the message myself. The script they left on my voicemail (bad grammar included) is as follows:

"This message is to inform you that the CRA has decided to initiate legal proceedings against your name, so in next 24 hours we will be making a lien on your assets and your bank accounts due to your inability to settle your dues with the CRA. A bill collection officer would visit to you soon to complete the paperworks. If you have any questions then call our tax default line at the number that is 613-366-5316. I again repeat the number, it’s 613-366-5316. If you don't call immediately, or if you don't hear from your attorney either, then you'll be sole responsible person for all the legal consequences which also includes an arrest warrant that is being issued on your name. So for any further queries give us a call back immediately. Have a nice day. "

Received a very menacing, pre-recorded call from this number. The called indicated that it was CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) and that they were taking immediate action due to my inability to settle debts with CRA, and actions would include foreclosure on my home, seizing of my assets and possible arrest, if I did not call 613-366-5316 right away and make arrangements to settle the outstanding debt. This is all quite funny, actually, because we just received our income tax refund from CRA, one week ago! DO NOT call these scammers back, and DO NOT be intimidated by them! They are preying on peoples' fear.

This people hang up in your ear and then when you call them back to confront them they ask if you are so and so and when you tell them no they rudely hang up on you, then they call you back a half hour later and you call them again to confront them and once again ask if you are so and so and before you get the words stop calling me out they have hung up on you!!! They claim they are the CRA upon answering the phone, now we all know you would never get CRA without pressing options before speaking to a person! SCAM

Received the same message as above from this number. Threatened to put a lean on my account in 24 hrs for unpaid debts, send a collection officer, and threatened to arrest me..

DO NOT call these scammers back, and DO NOT be intimidated by them! They are preying on peoples' fear. I have no issues with Canada Revenue Agency. I decided to look to see if anyone else got this nasty call...and it looks like a few people have been targeted. Beware!!!!
