We've been getting quite a few of these random numbers in different cities calling both home and work with a recorded message that says "You have been summoned in your county and there is fraud attached to your social security number" And they want you to call them back. These are ALL scammers and fish scams.
The other numbers to avoid that I have noted calls from are as follows

609-318-5518 (Atlantic City)

913-730-6199 (Kansas City)

I received a call from this number and I called the DA office for Fraud because I dont owe these people anything.

Received calls from the following numbers all the same people calling. Scam. Do not let them threaten you they are just scammers. Reported to my local Police Department and forwarded calls to their crime division as well as to my Attorney General, forwarded messages to them as well. If they can be tracked down they will have to deal now with the above individuals.  Other numbers used: 913 730-7387, 415 449-9977 all are recorded robotic messages with threat and harassment. Have no idea who these individuals are. They will threaten and try to intimidate you to give them money for bogus accounts they say they have. They proclaim to be process servers. Process Servers do not call and let you know they will be serving you.  Be sure to document and report to your local authorities.

EVERYONE-  These people are fraudulent scammers.  DO NOT give them ANY information.  ALWAYS tell them that you want WRITTEN proof of the debt they CLAIM  you owe (p.s. you do not owe these scammers anything).  They will refuse to give you anything in writing USPS mail that is.  Why you ask?  Simply because IF they send you via mail a FAKE debt validation letter, that becomes a FEDERAL OFFENSE because they are now using the postal service as a means to extort money.  Tell them you are recording the phone call, they will HANG UP on you- does that sound legitimate????  Oh, also, process servers DO NOT call you before hand to tell you that you are being served!!!  A process server gets PAID ONCE THEY SERVE you court documents.  Why would they warn you that you are going to be served... that just would give you ADVANCED NOTICE to NOT BE HOME OR AT WORK.  A court case CANNOT move forward in civil court if you are not properly served... THEY DO NOT CALL AHEAD to tell you they are on their way!

Do what I do, I have the feature with my phone provider to forward certain callers to certain numbers. When I get one of these calls, I have that number now forwarded to the my attorney general's office!
