Called 4:21pm; Caller ID displayed "unavailable"

I picked up, which I usually don't.  A man started to make a pitch about donating to a police charity, and I hung up.

Sorry, but if he said the name of the organization (scam), I didn't catch it.

It's a scam. Police Charity. I only go to my local police township and donate.

Caller ID read: Eagle, PA 610-321-3499. I normally don't answer numbers I don't recognize, but did this time. There was a pause before anyone spoke, yet you could hear background noise, and then they asked for my husband by first name. When I asked who was calling, he wouldn't give a response, so I hung up...

Caller claimed to represent Fraternal Order of Police.  Already had my full name, address and phone number.  I never gave this info to the FOP.  Said I would think about a donation.  Received a donation request in mail.  Tore it up. SCAM.

Received a phone call from this number about 5:00 p.m.  The caller spoke very fast and I heard the words " police charities" and he asked for my husband by name.  I told the caller he wasn't available but I can take a message.  The caller then stated that maybe I could help him and started talking very fast and I stopped hm and started to say we were not interested and he hung up.
