I am SO relieved to see this chat site!  I received a call just a few minutes ago...I listened patiently while the thick Indian accent man agressively ran on and on about only needing to update my "existing yellow book listing."  I acknowledged that all was 'correct,' then came the 'other services paper work' stuff...he spoke so quickly I kept asking to repeat, and when I asked other questions he kept "reassuring me" that it was all FREE!  Then came the recording, and suddenly the information shifted.  When I stopped him and stated clearly NO...send no paperwork, the 's.o.b' became hostile, telling me that he had throroughly explained everything and had taken a lot of time with me and that I was "wasting his time!"  I screemed "WHAT?  Excuse me?  What's your name again?"  And he hung up on ME!

I then googled them and came up with a BOGUS website, using a totally UNRELATED other company's phone number!  I will be reporting this to the Attorney General's office and I hope you all do too!

I get the same harrasment from the "one click yellow pages". Sometimes as many as 2 calls a day. The number, and name on my caller ID changes daily. I have filed a complaint to the Do Not Call Registry. I tried to get the number blocked by AT&T but they can only block the daily number not trace it back to the source number. AT&T suggested trying the FCC complaint dept. (877-382-4354). I have tried calling back the number that shows on my caller ID but get a no such number recording. There must be some way to deal with these guys!

Caller said "Hi, this is Max from one click online yellow pages," however, upon questioning admitted that he is from superpages.com, calling from a call center in India, and Max is not his real name. He was unable/unwilling to provide contact information for owners of the business. Call was from a spoofed number so useless to report to the FCC. The other numbers they spoofed in the past couple of weeks were:
307-274-3899, 609-386-0581, 406-224-9787, 909-824-7612, 718-225-1098, 609-877-3740, 607-785-8621, 518-884-0554, 410-902-0908.
They will not take no for an answer and will not stop calling even after yelling at them repeatedly.
