They call and SAY that they are wanting information about when you bought your timeshare and that some but not all people were mistreated. They make it sound as if they are a law firm that is working on a case.
What they really want... is to see if you are fed up with timeshare payments &/or maintenance fees. They want you to get rid of your timeshare and let then have it for nothing, that's right, give it to them, and then you have to pay $2,600 to do the required paperwork to get out. We all know that the courthouse doesn't cost near that much. Perhaps they assume that you are not going to put forth any effort and the you want you to pay someone to do the paperwork for you. Surprise! They have people on the payroll that will do that for you and all that they are going to charge you to do it is... $2,600.
Either way, it's a sad way to make a living, but I suppose someone's got to do it. It's a shame that someone can't come up with a great website where folks from all over the world could come to buy, sell or trade timeshare points, weeks, and info.
