Half dozen calls from these phishers in the last two months. Today it was Alex who said he was from Windowssoft.us.  Gave his number as 609-284-9474. Got something different on Caller ID. String of digits V10220210390002 971-217-9518.  Every time these people call there is something different on Caller ID. In every case it has been someone with a foreign accent.  Said my computer was sending error messages while connected to Internet. Specifically mentioned on line banking.   NORTON site doesn't rate the Windowssoft.us site.  Probably good to stay away from.

My Mom (Newfoundland) got this call 3 weeks ago and has fallen into its dirty trap, they were offering to fix the problems she was having with with her computer regards to not be able to get on different websites.  The service was life time $599 but because of her age and such it was lowered to $299, it blows my mind how she could give up her credit card number so easily and blow $300 when she has the biggest computer geek as a son in law, But, its been 3 weeks and there hasn't been a charge on her card, very fearful that they are doing more with the info they got from her computer =(

Got a call to switzerland too. It seems they have switched to Internet-Phoning
Their Number was 007875550162.  Same annoying stories. I guess they are Phishers!

Reçu aujourd'hui téléphone en anglais "windows help center" 007875550162 il voulait entrer dans mon ordi pour me protéger des hackers!  je n'ai rien entré dans mon ordi et l'ai éteint! Le téléphone a été racroché!  Arnaque?
