IRS scam. Recording of a woman with an American accent telling me to call back because my assets were being monitored. Called and spoke to this very nice IRS Agent in India. He asked for my name: Ben Dover. My address: 1234 Central Ave. L. A. 90660. He explained I owed $3,578.21. I needed to go to the Washington D.C. tomorrow to appear in IRS Court or all my assets would be seized and an arrest warrant would be issued. Or he could do me a favor and accept my payment by credit card. This was so nice of him. I gave him my card info and he was so nice he didn't even charge me the processing fee.
Come on people how many times does the IRS have to tell us they won't call us. They send letters. If you ignore the letters they mainly just add penalties and keep any future tax returns. If the amount owed is big enough and you ignore they may knock on your door. But they still won't call.
