I am elderly, disabled, and a victim of identity theft this past January.  My son set up methods to trace my incoming calls, complete with date/time, phone number, and location.  Call from this number woke me up at 8:01 EDT this morning -- just one minute past the legitimate legal calling hours for NY.  I didn't answer, but I sent the info to my son.  He called the number back and received a recording saying the number is not in service at this time.  From past experience, I know that a phone service disconnected for non-payment of bills will give one week of outgoing calls only to get the account back in order, but incoming calls are blocked.  This could be someone that locates disconnected service numbers to use in setting up a scam.  Thought I'd try this site to see if anyone else has reported it.  Let's see if anyone does from this point on.

Had 607-321-0312 call me today & left a voice mail. It is SEFCU credit union. Hope this helps

No way is this SEFCU. I received a phone call from them today and they said that they were from SEFCU and needed me to verify my last four of my social security numbers. This is a scam. No way would SEFCU be calling you to verify your information. I hope that you did not give them the last four numbers of your social security numbers if you did then check your credit report often.

I got a call from this number this morning at 8:45 and it showed as SEFCU Local.  I did not answer, because I work for SEFCU and the number was unfamiliar to me.  Glad I came here to check.  I tried to call it back and received a message saying the number was no longer in service.  Well . . . we'll see.  I have informed my phone provider to transfer calls from this number another number I have blocked -- you know, the one from the lawyers who threaten to come arrest me at work because I owe some outlandish amount of money.  Ha.  Hope they have fun.
