As many as three times a day, even on Sundays, we get a call that caller ID shows as either 1-605 or 605.  That's it.  Nothing else.  Been going on for a couple weeks.  So today I pick it up and say 'Hello'.  Automated answering voice, 'Please hold.'  That's it.  Hold for what?  I hung up.  Two hours later they call again.  Who the hell is this?  

Can't be a bill collector, I filed bankruptcy a year ago and have made all court required payments.......  Or I guess it could be.  Once collection agency bought one of my discharged debts and called looking for some $$.  They were quite angry to learn they bought a debt they can't collect on.  Sorry.

Have received calls from this number numerous times.  I never answer and they never leave a message.  I do not have a clue who they are from.

Received a call on  mobile/cell phone number while on another call (showed on "call waiting"). The #  appeared exactly like this : 1-605-0   That was it! Just 5 digits. Did not answer it. No voice mail left. I Blocked a land line # & tried to return the call. Recording: "Your call cannot be completed as dialed". Of course not! Very strange.

UNKNOWN FEMALE CALLER CALLED MY HOME LANDLINE TELEPHONE NUMBER ASKING FOR A PERSON WHO HAS NEVER LIVED AT MY ADDRESS NOR HAD ACCESS TO MY LANDLINE HOME PHONE NUMBER. THE CALLER'S NUMBER SHOWS ON MY CALLER ID AS 605 000 0000.  THE CALLER ID SHOWS THE CALLER'S NAME AS "UNKNOWN." THIS IS A VIOLATION OF OF MY BEING REGISTERED ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!

Obvious fraud — criminals — organized crime. Don't answer the phone, and block forever. That's what we did. They will never reach us by phone. If they are legitimate, they know how to reach us by snail-mail. Creeps, thugs, ne'er-do-wells. They couldn't do a day of honest work if their lives depended on it. Starve them out. Never give out personal info to these a_r_s_e_s.
