I got a call from this today & they were asking for donations to some Policeman fund that I'm not familiar with. I told the man that I was not interested & asked him to take me off of his calling list and he said that he would put my phone number down on their "Do not call list". He was very polite - unlike they usually are.

I have received several calls from (601) 866-5713 and I allow calls to go into my answering machine when the caller ID does not identify the caller.  Now that I have learned that it is for the policeman's fund It has aroused my suspicions.  I once sent in a donation to the policemen's fund and my check was cashed, not locally, but in Connecticut.   What gives? My "Do not call list" isn't working on anybody!

I am sick of this # calling my phone, I have put my # on the  no call list, but apparently it doesn't do any good.

No, it's not. They told me they were calling on BEHALF of AT&T, and they are not.
