601-501-4105 just called me. Some bull story about sending me a "free" gas card while also mentioning some association with Visa? Could not comprehend it all, I basically yelled at them & hung up. So sick of these idiots

Good move. I fell for it. Nope -- no gas card here. Just some booklets on discounts and ID theft protection. And about $13 in charges on my credit card that I did not provide them. Interesting.

Also received exact same phone call today from same number. Caller introduces themself as Visa. I ask if I can call them back at the same number to prove the call is legitimate and caller says fine. They also didn't ask for my credit card info; just that I verify the last four digits. So far, nothing has shown up on the bank statement, but after googling this number, it doesn't look good!

I got the same call today, to my cell phone which I never use on any applications.  They identified themselves as Visa and when I said "what bank are you with?" She said just Visa regarding my card ending in XXXX and expires on this time.  They offered a free gas card saying they were upgrading me and then said they will enroll me in the 25K theft protection to which I stopped her saying NO, NO, NO...I don't want any plans on my card.  She just said OK and ended the call.  Scary thing is that I never use my cell for applications, and that they called on a closed account and couldn't identify the bank the card was associated to.  Makes me wonder what DB they got a hold of to get the last 4 of the card and the expiration date and my name and cell.  My thought was they were going to ask me to repeat my full card number to get that, but I never took the call that far.
