Got a call at 3.15 pm today from a syrupy sweet sounding young gal. When I answered the phone on the 1st ring with my standard biz greeting, "good afternoon, and stated the name of our business" I got a ridiculous response of "well hello, how are you today?" All the air deflates out of me as I try to just endure the rest of this call.

I respond, "I am doing great, Thanks. How can I help you today, do you need to schedule a service appointment today?" to which the young gal responds,"Why No, I just need to speak with The Boss!" Now of course these folks get to speak to "the boss" all day long when they call folks up with the robo-dialer.

So I stated "That's great, I am The Boss, and I am currently running my business, so I do not have any more time for this call." Then promptly hung up the phone. Whew. Hope they don't bother to call back. Not sure what the selling point or scam is, but really, my day is busy enough without these constant interruptions from clueless telemarketers.

female caller, asked how I was, wanted to speak to the boss, no phone manners, had to be asked for name and who she was representing, had to drag it out of her, only gave name Brittany, and RMC, would not tell me who or what RMC is, kept asking to speak to the boss, I kept asking who RMC was, she told me she'd call another time if the boss was busy and she disconnected first!

At exactly 12:30 today (23/9/09) this call came in and the caller asking to speak with the Boss. I responded, 'yes speaking'
and he stated that they are doing something in the community and requested for donation as my home care agency has been nominated to participated in the program. After listening to him, I asked him to call back as I am very busy now so I can check this his number out, to determine if it is a scam or not.

After checking him out, of course,  it was no doubt a scam.
