I received the same phone call today. They had all my personal information. Telling me I was going to jail if I didn't pay this amount of a loan that they said I took out. Which I never took out. I'm filing a police report

This is extortion tactics highly illegap. People sit around all day and scare people purposely. They have nothing better to do than try to scam you because they figure you are dumb and don't know the fair debt collection law!!

Threaten calls

I too got this call today....Holly Barrett must be a very busy individual.... If they continue to call,  them over to an attorney who has dealt with people like this. MN is not a state that takes calls like this and any threatening going on save on your voice mail because these individuals can be brought to justice for 1 - Threatening you over the phone, 2 - They cannot legally call the state of Minnesota, as they do not do business here, 3 - You can reverse their threat right back onto them by having a lawyer call them and saying that we will be filing a complaint against them and they will be legally liable to pay us. Also file a complaint with your local Police Department and let them know you did that, if you want to answer the call. My local police department called them and warned them if you continues they would contact their local police department.

I received the same call yesterday. I didnt answer so it went to voicemail. It was a woman who stated someone filed a complaint against me and either I or my attorney needed to call them immediately before they take legal action. No idea as to what. And I know this is a scam simply because as a previous person posted on here when a legitimate debt collector calls they send letters. Also when they  call they have a message at the beginning of the call that states the name of their company and it says that thing about this is an attempt to collect a debt and all information obtained shall be used for that purpose. They didnt even say my name!
