got same call. Said IRS and call back before arrested.

Received a call this morning and they left a message on the answering machine.
Their scam message said something of the following:  "Your number has been linked to fraud/crime and call us before the IRS or Federal government arrests you...we can help.  Please call 571-526-0025 right away to prevent you from being arrested".

Don't you just love it when these idiots think we are so stupid.  I think they may be preying on senior citizens.

I typed it word for word (as closely as I could understand of the not great recording and East Indian accent). The number was blocked on my phone but he left this phone number.

Laurie this is Officer John Matthews and I’m calling you from the IRS. The purpose of my call is we have a legal petition notice against you for the tax evasion. So the very second you receive this message, I need you to call me back my callback number 571-526-0025. And Laurie do not disregard this message and do return me a call. If you fail to call me back then we have to honor this case file and we have to do a warrant against your name???   Until then take care and you have a lovely day.

I leave this in your capable hands! He deserves a good scare right back. Thankfully I knew this jerk was a scammer.
