please stop this number from calling my home phone.  does the do not call registry work at all?  

political calls are exempt from the do not call list.  the other thing you need to know is that the dnc list is not a magic thing.  people/companies have to sign up for it and pay for it consulting it to make sure that they aren't calling someone on the dnc list.  however, there are some *people* who
a)  do not register for the dnc list   or
b)  do not consult it if they do

So there you have it.  The easiest thing for you would be to buy a call blocker or a phone that lets you block numbers.

Just got this and am not interested in political calls. Did not answer.
