Did not answer.  Started leaving a recorded message (voice had an accent) saying they were from the IRS and that they have received a Tax Evasion Notice on our name.  At this point we picked up the receiver and hung up.  We pay more than our fair share of taxes.;-)

I just got a call from this number. Too funny. How stupid do they think we are? I was told that I was being sued by the IRS for unpaid taxes. REALLY? He wanted my attorney's name and phone number. I told him that I wasn't going to give it to him. He said "Do you realize who you are talking to?" I said, "Not really." He said "F...n" [***] and hung up on me. I am getting very tired of the 3 or 4 calls I get a day from various scams.

This number left a message stating there was a legal petition notice on a evasion/fraud on our name. They didn't say our name which should be your first clue that this isn't real.  I've had a similar caller with a different number call about the same thing but with a thick Indian accent. The Caller ID said Sterling VA. This is fake! Don't answer it fall for it. We pay our taxes! These people are so annoying calling my house all the time.

I just got a call from this number too.  I was told that I was being sued by the IRS. He wanted my attorney's name and phone number. I asked his name and his phone number to call him back. He hang up the phone.
Not funny and taking my time to deal with this stupidity.

Someone posing as IRS.  Part of the message from my voice-to-text message: “Want any further information about your case file. Give us a call back as quick as possible on over direct hotline number to the IRS headquarters that is 57121058552. I again repeat the number is 571-210-5552. If you don't receive a call from your side and he prepared to face the legal consequences as the issue at hand is extremely serious and time sensitive. Have a blessed day.”
